Alawe Forwards His Condolence To family, fans Of Late Ekiti Music Legend, Femi Ariyo

The Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, Oba Adebanji Ajibade has joined thousands of fans around the nation to mourn the death of Ekiti music legend, King Femi Ariyo.

In a statement, News About Nigeria reports, signed by his Media Adviser, High Chief Ajibade Olubunmi, the Oba sent his condolence to the family of the late music legend, King Femi.

The Alawe also mourned along with the demised singer’s fan base as he urges them to be strong and take heart on the great loss.

Also in the message, the Oba stated that King Femi was indeed a giant who, along with others alike, used his God-given talent in putting his hometown on the map.

The statement reads;

“Femi Ariyo cannot be forgotten in a hurry, the way he spread his Ekiti music particularly in Ilawe dialect, like a hurricane throughout the world.

“He bestrode the Ekiti traditional musical world for decades like a colossus and got recognition and won several laurels all over.

“We regard him as a good ambassador of Ilawe who did not disappoint the town in his chosen profession,“ Oba Alabi stressed.

“The monarch prayed God to grant the immediate family of the departed music maestro the fortitude to bear the loss and also grant Femi Ariyo’s soul eternal rest”.

The family of Keng Femi Ariyo made the announcement of his passing in a statement jointly signed and represented by Tunde and Barrister Loni Ariyo.

The late King Ariyo was said to have kicked the bucket between the hours of 12.00 and 1. am on Saturday, July 15, 2023, in an undisclosed hospital in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti.
